Do I need a doctor’s prescription or referral to see you?
You do not! In California, you may begin seeing a physical therapist without a referral for up to 45 days or 12 visits, whichever comes first. We will work with your doctor’s office to keep them informed of the plan. We have relationships with many local doctor’s offices and work to communicate regularly with them on your behalf.
Do you take my insurance?
We accept Medicare and work with all Medicare secondary or supplemental plans. Please contact us for rates based on your private insurance plan.
What happens if you do not take my insurance plan?
To enable the one-on-one sessions and continuity with your physical therapist we can do what’s called “out of network” with private insurance carriers. This means that your insurance company may reimburse you for all or part of your appointments at NeuroSport Physical Therapy, depending on your out-of-network benefits. These vary by insurance company, plan, and individual. We are happy to check on your out-of-network benefits (and help you compare these to your in-network benefits) to help you make an informed decision. We like to be as transparent as possible.
What should I expect on my first visit?
During your initial evaluation, we will ask for a history of your current condition and complete a thorough assessment. We will work with you to develop an individualized plan of care complete with exercises for home.
What should I wear for my appointment?
Choose clothing that is comfortable. You need to be able to move freely. Garments should also allow access to the affected body parts (if applicable).
How long will my appointment be?
We give you the time you need to address your concerns and get you feeling and moving better. On average, appointments last 45 minutes, often longer for the first visit.
Who are you?
We are a family-owned clinic in South Pasadena, and have been here since 2017. Our owners have 15 to 20 years of experience each in Los Angeles and Orange County, and drew on this to establish a clinic with a devoted, highly personalized approach. We prioritize all aspects of how we work to help our patients above all. We hand-pick our staff at all levels to meet this goal.
What kind of issues can you help me with?
We help people with a wide range of issues. Our clinicians have experience working with complicated orthopedic problems as well as difficulties arising from neurological conditions. We work with people of all ages and occupations, with goals ranging from athletic to simply moving and feeling better throughout the day.
How can you help me, and why is this different?
We know that our patients deserve and appreciate our full attention. Each session, your physical therpaists gives uninterrupted, one-on-one focus to addressing your concerns. We try to match you with the physical therapist best suited to help you, and you will get to work with the same individual each time. This allows time to fully investigate and address all aspects of what you need, including less-obvious issues that may otherwise be missed.
